Smoke Systems are physical deterrents that confront intruders with a barrier of dense, white screening smoke. Smoke security systems are activated from the burglar alarm or by PAs during business hours for hold-up security. They provide good deterrence and can trap an unwary burglar.

This "active" security helps to close the burglar's 'window of opportunity', between entering a premises and the authrities arriving. Once an Alarm is activated, the Smoke is created in seconds and consists of billions of microscopic particles that create the illusion of smoke. The smoke is non-toxic, non-conductive and most importantly non-contaminating. The smoke system will rapidly fill a room where valuables are stored, with a dense fog. This dense fog is harmless, but impossible to see through. It is forced out at such a high temperatue and speed that is is incredibly difficult to stop (although it cools rapidly).

Quite simply, the burglars can not steal what they can't see.

The Bandit System has a unique, patented high pressure (200 p.s.i) system which ejects at an extremely high speed (28 cubic metres per second), a dense visually inpenetrable fog within seconds of intruders being detected, protecting areas of up to 500 cubic metres from one single unit. It is capable of multiple, successive firings, the unit continues to protect valuables in the event of the intruder returning. The bandit can be installed independantly or incorporated to enhance an existing alarm system.

The Smokecloak fills 300 square metres in less than 30 seconds. It uses a feedback sensor that detects the level of smoke. When the required level is reaced the machine switches off. If the density drops, it will reactivate, maintaining protection. Smokecloak is designed to work with a standard alarm system, so as soon as the alarm is activated, the smoke bursts in to action.

There are a range of Smokecloaks for all sizes of buildings or rooms. Smokecloak became the first electronic security system to obtain police approval via the 'Secured by Design' initiative.
